Eagle Volley Cup 2026: the tenth edition dedicated to growth, sharing, and sporting excellence
The Eagle Volley Cup returns from January 3rd to 5th, 2026, for its tenth edition, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated events in Italian youth volleyball. A major milestone marking a new phase of expansion and quality, thanks to the inclusion of new male delegations and the prestigious partnership with Vero Volley, a leading organization in the national volleyball scene. The new features were presented on Tuesday, October 28th, at Palazzo Pirelli.
“A tournament that’s becoming more and more important, now at its tenth edition. It’s one of Lombardy’s prides for the U18 categories,” said Federica Picchi, Undersecretary for Sports of the Lombardy Region, highlighting the educational and social value of the event. “Vero Volley, after 18 years, has won the Super Cup: bringing such an organization into our tournament is an opportunity to showcase the most beautiful places in the area and experience moments of sport that foster connection and sharing.”
Organized with the support of Pallavolo Picco Lecco, the event will include the following categories: Under 13, 14, 16, and 18 (female) and Under 13, 15, 17, and 19 (male), with matches hosted across gyms in Lecco and nearby towns. The finals will be live-streamed, featuring special guests to ensure visibility and engagement even from afar.
“Pallavolo Picco has 55 years of history in the Lecco area. We’re all very active and strongly support this initiative, which involves families, parents, and grandparents. A tournament like this enhances both the region and our youth,” said Dario Righetti.
“Our first thought was: why not do it? The people organizing it share our same passion. Great champions are important, but young players are even more so. We have a large network throughout Italy and want this event to keep growing,” added Christian Merati, Head of the Youth Sector.
“We really wanted to bring this initiative to the Region, because it puts sport at the center. It’s the tenth year, and that confirms continuity: an event with regional—and beyond—impact, in a unique and inclusive context,” concluded Giacomo Zamperini, Regional Councilor.
